J. Doug Stroud, M. D.
I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas Medical School in Little Rock. I interned at Emory University and have been a licensed medical doctor for 30 years. The first six years I practiced Family Medicine in Conway. In 1982 I began training as an ENT (Otolaryngologist) at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City and returned to Conway in 1986 where I have been in private practice since then taking care of patients with a variety of medical and surgical problem relating to the ear, nose and throat areas. We specialize in offering state of the art treatment including hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings as well as surgical intervention when indicated.
We see many patients with a variety of ear symptoms including hearing loss, vertigo, tinnitus and imbalance. Our practice also deals with numerous patients with chronic allergic and infectious diseases of the nose and sinuses. We use the most modern technology including CT scanning and the intraoperative use of the BrainLab which is a sophisticated surgical monitor used to assist in sinus surgery. We have also perfected the use of the CO2 Laser, which we use exclusively in completing tonsillectomies, performing palate surgery for patients with chronic snoring and sleep apnea and in reducing intranasal tissue for improvement of nasal air flow. Although most of our patients have their complete evaluations in our office, major surgeries and radiologic evaluations are completed at Conway Regional Medical Center. Most important to us is that we treat all of our patients with the same respect, courtesy, skill and care that we would give to our own families.
Brenda Hodge, H.H.P., H.I.S. Arkansas License # 589
I am a member of the Arkansas Hearing Society. I obtained my A.A.S. degree from Arkansas State University in Mountain Home in December 2003. ASU is one of only three Universities in the United States that offer and support the Hearing Healthcare Practitioner degree program. Being licensed in Hearing Instrument Dispensing since February 2004, and working along with Dr. Stroud since October 2004, I feel honored to be able to provide my services in Conway. Places such as College Square Retirement Community have welcomed me to accompany their residents with servicing hearing aids and managing wax in their ears. In the office, I strive to be as patient and helpful as possible.
We offer the most modern technology in today's hearing aids and fitting practices with digital programmable hearing instruments. More than 28 million people are troubled with hearing loss, but there is no need to live with the frustrations. Come and see how we can better help your hearing. "I consider it a privilege to be here in Conway helping my friends and neighbors to have a happier, healthier hearing experience."
